We are excited to share a significant milestone in our ongoing project. Dr. Phirun Saiyasitpanich, Director-General of the Department of Climate Change and Environment (DCCE), chaired the launch of the “Kick-off Meeting for the Article 6 Operation Manual in Thailand” with national stakeholders, on April 2, 2024.
Project objective:
The objective of the project is to assist the Government of Thailand in enhancing the enabling environment for implementing the national Article 6 framework, including developing a comprehensive manual of procedures and conducting capacity-building activities for various stakeholders.
Project detials:
The preparation of the Article 6 Operation Manual is a key activity under the SPAR6C project, supported by the International Climate Initiative (IKI) of the Federal Republic of Germany. This manual will guide project development by carbon market participants, including government management entities and private sector project developers.
KORA Climate is proud to be part of the team of esteemed partners: the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI), Kommunalkredit Public Consulting (KPC) and Neyen. KORA Climate supports the coordination with Thailand’s project counterparts, the consultation process and contributes expertise on Art.6 processes. Together, we will work closely to ensure the manual aligns with Thailand’s specific needs and context.
