As we step into a new year, we’re excited to share a significant milestone in our biochar project development! 🌍
What Happened:
Suan Lahu Coffee Farm hosted a farmers’ workshop on January 14, focusing on showcasing and spreading knowledge about biochar production and utilize villages. 15 farmers from 8 villages joined the workshop. The objective was to demonstrate biochar production process and sharing knowledge on the benefits of biochar for soil improvement and the reduction of open burning of corn residues. The farmers showed great interest in the biochar production and asked for more support to apply biochar.
Empowering Villages:
Each village received a biochar pyrolyzer, setting the stage for independent biochar production. Our experienced staff at Suan Lahu Coffee Farm will provide ongoing guidance and support in this eco-friendly venture.
Our Partners:
The impactful workshop was held in partnership with KORA-Climate and co-sponsored by Mr Jean-Baptist Berne.
What’s Next:
KORA Climate was honored to be a partner of this Carbon Removal activity which is being seen as an important step towards scaling up the biochar activities in Northern Thailand.
We’re not just talking about change; we’re actively creating it together. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue this journey towards sustainability.
